How long has the new E.ON E-Mobility business been in existence?

After the EU Commission approved the RWE/E.ON transaction, RWE's innogy shares were transferred to E.ON.

With this step, innogy became part of the E.ON Group. The two groups of companies can now collaborate more closely. This will benefit not only the companies involved, but also, and in particular, the customers.

Together we are now one of the leading international E-Mobility solution providers. We offer smart and secure charging solutions, powerful IT services and charging technology globally. We combine a wide range of expertise from development to operations with more than 10 years of experience.

What do I gain from this acquisition as a customer?

In cooperation with innogy, we are more than ever an international E-Mobility solution provider for intelligent hardware, software and integrated E-Mobility and energy solutions. We serve private, business and municipal customers.

Furthermore, as a technology company we design software and hardware products for our partners and resellers to better fit their customer’s needs.

Together with our partners we build and operate one of Europe’s leading charging networks for our customers.

As a front runner of the mobility transition and with our strong international presence combined with our growth and innovation ambitions we want to shape the electric mobility market.

Will the charging network be greatly expanded?

E.ON and innogy will continue to expand the charging network wherever we operate with partners, customers and projects. At E.ON Drive, a key component of our European charging network will be the 180 Ultra-Fast-charging sites that are currently under construction. In addition to the public charging network, charging at home and at work is very important. We are building many charging points to make the switch to E-Mobility as easy as possible.

Which new solutions are being developed?

Currently, E.ON and innogy's offers exist in parallel.

We are already working on creating a single source to bring the best of the E.ON and innogy product ranges to our customers as quickly as possible. The first combined solutions, such as access to both companies' charging infrastructure for E-Mobility, are likely to be implemented very quickly.

We are also working on making the entire product range of both companies easily accessible to our customers. For example, we want to make our combined charging infrastructure for E-Mobility available as quickly as possible.

What is contractually changing for me as a customer? Is my contract still valid? Will it change from innogy to E.ON?

The relationships with our customers provide a crucial foundation, because our collaboration helps us to serve you even better, day after day. All the contact persons you have dealt with previously will continue to be there for you and all details of your existing contract(s) will remain unchanged. Should this change for formal legal reasons during the integration process, we will inform you in good time.
