EcoMotion 2020 Tel-Aviv: E.ON calls for better EV-charging and greater driver convenience

This year’s EcoMotion, a leading E-Mobility conference, brought together the world’s leading car manufacturers together with top innovators to discuss some of the most significant opportunities and challenges in electrical transport. Usually held in Tel Aviv – the beating heart of Israel’s booming hi-tech industry – this year’s edition took place entirely online.

E.ON portfolio company Virta secures investment from JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation

Virta has recently announced another milestone: the company has secured an investment from JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation (“JXTG”). The investment will be used to foster international growth in the E-Mobility sector and strengthen their position as a leading provider of energy for mobility. 

E.ON and Volkswagen to make fast charging possible

Odyssey Hackathon – imagining the future of energy markets

For the first time, E.ON takes part in this year’s Odyssey – one of Europe’s leading hackathons. Held in Groningen in the Netherlands in September 2020, Odyssey will mobilise utility companies, corporates, governments, non-profit organisations and entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries. Together, they’ll work on solutions for some of the century’s biggest challenges in areas like healthcare, energy transition and urban infrastructure.

BRIDGE General Assembly presents latest Horizon 2020 projects for the decentralised grid business

The E.ON Innovation team participated in this year's BRIDGE General Assembly to gain the latest insights into the European Commission initiative, which unites Horizon 2020 Smart Grid and Energy Storage projects. The initiative provides a structured view of cross-cutting issues that pose an obstacle to innovation through a series of projects.  

E.ON Innovation project Simris nominated for Handelsblatt Energy Award

10 January, 2020

E.ON’s project Simris selected as one of top three projects at this year’s Handelsblatt Energy Award, Smart City category. The project in the village of Simris in the Swedish province Skåne is the first local, de-centralized energy system in Sweden. Combining local Photo Voltaic (PV) and wind parks in Simris with smart energy control and distribution systems, E.ON’s Innovation team created an intelligent system that provides the local community with stable and up to 100% renewable energy.
