Johannes Teyssen’s contract as CEO extended through the end of 2021
As already announced in September, the Supervisory Board of E.ON SE today extended Johannes Teyssen's contract as Chairman of the Board of Management until December 31, 2021.
“Johannes Teyssen has drawn the right conclusions for E.ON from the fundamental changes in the energy world and has systematically put customers at the center of everything the company does. E.ON is now fully focused on its three core businesses: technologically advanced energy networks, efficient wind and solar farms, and innovative and digital products and services for its customers. E.ON’s transformation was successfully completed last year. The Supervisory Board and I look forward to working with our proven executive team led by Johannes Teyssen to set a course for growth in the years ahead,” said Karl-Ludwig Kley, Chairman of the E.ON Supervisory Board.
Johannes Teyssen has been a member of the E.ON Board of Management since 2004 and CEO since 2010. The contracts of Karsten Wildberger (sales and new customer solutions) and Leonhard Birnbaum (energy networks and renewables) were extended last year as well; Marc Spieker joined the Board of Management as CFO in the spring of 2017.
