Mr. Stefan May, born on 6 November 1970 in Lüdinghausen, Germany, is a trained energy electronics engineer specialized in industrial engineering. He began his professional career in 1987 as an apprentice at the former VEW AG in Dortmund, Germany. Between 1992 and 1998 he then worked as a fitter in the regional operations in Beckum, Germany. From 1998 until his release as Deputy Chairman of the Works Council of Münsterland in 2000, he worked as a master craftsman for station maintenance at VEW AG. Since 2001, Mr. May has been Chairman of the Works Council of Westnetz GmbH in Münster, Germany. From 2003 to 2005, he completed a part-time study at the University of Dortmund on the subject of "Management and Participation". In 2018 he was elected Chairman of the Joint Works Council of Westnetz GmbH and in 2019 he became Deputy Chairman of the Group Works Council of E.ON SE.
In addition to his work as an honorary judge at the Münster Labor Court, Mr. May is also Chairman of the Training Institute for Personnel Management, Labor Law and Labor Economics (IPAA).
Member of the Supervisory Board of E.ON SE since September 2019; term will end at the close of the Annual General Meeting in 2023.

Mr. May has very good technical expertise due to his practical experience in the low and high voltage range. During his studies he also gained sound knowledge of business administration. Through his work at the Institute for Personnel Management, Labor Law and Labor Economics (IPAA), Mr. May has additionally extensive knowledge in the field of personnel management as well as in the field of co-determination.
