E.ON has placed well in other rankings too, such as the "Career´s Best Recruiters".
A seal of quality for women-friendly companies
To make it easier for career-oriented women to find a suitable employer, the German agency "Agentur ohne Namen" has created top4women, an internationally recognized corporate seal for employers that are particularly female- and family-friendly. The seal signifies that a company is dedicated to furthering gender equality and helping employees balance their work and family lives, and is pursuing a female-friendly human resources strategy. E.ON was awarded the top4women seal in 2011 at the women&work career fair.
Award for integrated equal opportunities
Our successful commitment to equal opportunities in our personnel policy was recognized when we were presented with the “Total E-Quality” award. The seal of quality that is recommended by the leading associations in German business is presented for three years by the initiative of the same name.
The independent jury justified their decision with the fact that diversity is an integral part of E.ON’s business culture. The award is confirmation that our strategy to further develop the company through our diversity management program and to achieve real equality of opportunities is working.
“Total E-Quality Deutschland e. V.” is an initiative of large German companies that has the support of both the Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the Federal Ministry for the Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.
The quality seal "Fair Company", an initiative of Junge Karriere, distinguishes companies which offer university graduates genuine opportunities, rather than making them promises while using them as permanent trainees. The evaluation of the companies is guided by five principles:
- full-time positions are not filled with trainees
- graduates who have applied for a permanent position are not put off with a traineeship
- trainees are not baited with unrealistic promises for a full-time position
- traineeships are mainly offered for professional orientation during the training phase and
- trainees receive adequate compensation
Top Employer for Engineers 2017
Having already been awarded the accolade of "Top Employer for Engineers", E.ON has now also received this certification from the Top Employers Institute for the category "Engineers". In these studies, it identifies companies which are particularly outstanding in the fields of HR management and strategy.
Each year, the "Top Employers for Engineers" study identifies the most attractive employers for engineers. The participating businesses are assessed in the areas of "Compensation and benefits", "Education and training", "Learning and development", "Career opportunities", "Terms of Employment" and "Corporate culture".
kununu is a employer ranking platform which gives employees the chance to anonymously rate their employer.
It is not just a place for E.ON employees to share their experiences but it is also open to interns, student workers and trainees.
Therefore kununu is a good source of information on employers and gives people a first impression of the "work atmosphere" within the company.
The platform forms an ideal starting point for people looking to launch their careers. It also represents a valuable feedback channel for us, which makes it all the more satisfying that it has awarded us the title of "Top Company".
