Mathias' success story
Tell us about your ECON Academy experience?
I was participating at the ECON Academy in 2018 and I totally liked it. The ECON team put in a great effort to make these days interesting and fun. We did many exciting activities and got to know the consultants on a more personal level. Eventually, I joined ECON :)
How does your everyday work as a consultant at ECON look like?
At ECON I work with my clients on some of the most important projects for the E.ON group. My daily work is different each day and consists of generally three main aspects: meetings, document work and communication. Meetings are very diverse – sometimes for example I present project progress, another time I facilitate a discussion or I develop a document further together with a client. Document work can be various too, be it about analyzing data or creating calculation models in Excel, or creating PowerPoint slides for presentations. Finally I communicate a lot with various stakeholders – in person, by phone and via email. Besides my everyday work I meet my colleagues for coffee chats, go to the company gym or simply enjoy the sun during lunch break.
Why would you recommend other students to join this year’s ECON Academy event?
The event is perfect to get to know the consultants, projects and culture at E.ON Inhouse Consulting. At the same time there are great activities and interesting participants to meet and chat with!
