Engagement in our Communities
We consider ourselves to be an active member of the communities where we work, and a trustworthy and dedicated partner for the people who live there.
E.ON Engages in Communities in various Ways
Corporate Giving, that is, the support of not-for-profit organizations by means of funding or in kind, is the basic part of our involvement in the communities where we live and work - especially in emergency situations. Many of our employees are additionally involved in our various more strategic community projects, e.g. as part of our groupwide "Energy for Children" (EfC) program.
Regular and direct contact with our stakeholders is also very important to us, which is why we promote or initiate various dialog events as well as direct exchanges of views with our stakeholders.

Model Projects that Motivate
There are numerous projects that we support throughout the world, as part of our Corporate Giving or due to a connection with our business activities in each country. In a 2008 initiative from E.ON IS, a total of 1,000 IT systems were given to institutions in need as part of our Corporate Giving.
With the E.ON SOURCE Fund, E.ON UK is supporting communities and public institutions with projects to increase energy efficiency and conserve natural resources. E.ON UK has also been working for many years with Age Concern, the largest charity organization in the UK for older people, to provide both tailored energy products that meet the needs of this customer group and to work together with other partners on community projects. In the USA, E.ON U.S. also gives its customers the opportunity simply to support WinterHelp/WinterCare programs for not-for-profit purposes, together with E.ON.
