Supporting the sustainable development of our regions is a fundamental element of E.ON’s business activities. Our businesses have a strong history of being active members of the community in which we work and we will continue to be a trustworthy and dedicated partner to local people.
We support the regions surrounding our locations in infrastructure projects, urban development and by creating new jobs. As energy experts, we want to make our immediate environment aware of energy efficiency and environmental protection issues through dialog events and programs. As an important employer, we would also like to contribute to the quality of life at our locations. We support many projects in the areas of arts and culture as well as sports. As a member of the community, our task is also to support research and development into new scientific approaches.
Whether after natural disasters or in supporting disadvantaged social groups, financial support is often needed in addition to solidarity and personal involvement. As an economically successful company we take this responsibility seriously. In line with the slogan "Together we are strong", as well as in programs, we support our employees who want to get involved and contribute to society. We do this through corporate volunteering initiatives in company time and through personal volunteering where employees are active in their own time.
