Ratings and Rankings
Independent ratings can also show how good our CR involvement is by regularly comparing the company’s CR performance with others. In the last year, we made a huge step forward in a number of ratings:
Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)
In the Dow Jones Sustainability Rating 2007, E.ON made a significant improvement compared to the previous year. Our goal in 2007 was to be listed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) meaning we would belong to the top ten percent in our industry in the area of CR. We achieved our goal.
Accountability Rating
In 2007, we occupied position 16 of the Accountability Rating. This represented a rise of eight places, sustaining our good previous progress. In 2006, we were able to gain 41 places which was one of the strongest improvements of all the companies listed.
ASPI Eurozone Index®
In September 2007, E.ON was entered into the Advanced Sustainable Performance Index (ASPI Eurozone®). The ASPI Eurozone® Index contains the 120 companies with the best rating in the Eurozone based on VIGEO Group’s CR ratings.
Storebrand
The Norwegian financial service provider Storebrand declared E.ON a "Best in Class" company for its sustainability performance. Storebrand Investments manage assets of around EUR28.3 billion (Q4 2007).
Good Company Ranking
In the 2006 Good Company Ranking in "Manager Magazine", which assesses the performance of 120 of the largest European companies, we climbed 23 places to 37. We maintained this position in the 2007 ranking, released in March 2007.
