Awards
Our aim is to continually enhance our commitment to CR. We are delighted to receive awards for our efforts in the area of CR, proving that we are on the right track. We’d like to present a few examples of the awards we received in 2007.
Best Workplaces in Europe
In 2007, E.ON Ruhrgas was recognized with the "Best Workplaces in Europe" award presented by the German Great Place to Work® Institute and the business magazine "Capital".
Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply 2007 Award
In 2007, the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply presented E.ON UK with the award of the same name for their integrated personnel development initiatives.
Germany’s Best Employer 2008
E.ON AG, E.ON Energie and E.ON Ruhrgas were given the title “Germany’s Best Employer 2008” by the Great Place to Work® Institute Germany and business magazine "Capital" for their exemplary work promoting health.
DuPont Safety Award
In 2007, E.ON Benelux was awarded the "DuPont Safety Award" for its outstanding standard of occupational safety.
Promoter of Hungarian Culture
E.ON Hungaria received the 2007 award for "Promoter of Hungarian Culture" from the Hungarian Cultural Ministry for its wide-ranging sponsorship of Hungarian cultural events.
Health Management 2007/2008
In 2007/2008, E.ON Hanse received the "Health Management 2007/2008" award from EuPD Research (in cooperation with the University of Bielefeld, the European Business School, the Bertelsmann and Hans-Böckler Foundation as well as with BKK Health Insurance) for its outstanding health management system. In the assessment of 800 German companies E.ON Hanse placed seventh.
UN Global Compact
Our 2006 CR report, which also acted as a progress report for the UN’s Global Compact, was given the high ranking "Notable Communication on Progress".
Business in the Community Award
E.ON UK was presented with the "Business in the Community Award" for its Active Energy program in June 2007.
United Nations Environment Programme Award
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) awarded E.ON UK employees involved in the Environmental Champions program a UNEP certificate for their efforts.
Federal Ministry for Employment and Social Affairs
Thanks to its initiative "Mit Energie dabei" (Committed with Energy), E.ON Kraftwerke placed second in the 50 companies recognized in the "Prospects for Young People" category of the awards presented by the German Federal Ministry for Employment and Social Affairs.
CSR Best Practice 2006
In 2007, E.ON Hungaria was given the "CSR Best Practice 2006 Award" by the Hungarian PR Association for its outstanding contribution to embedding CR in Hungarian business.
