Commitment to Business Ethicsacross our Operations |
All of our operations are founded on our commitment to business ethics and corporate responsibility. Corporate Responsibility (CR) is an integral part of our corporate culture. For these reasons, we signed the United Nations’ Global Compact in 2005.
Platform for Dialog and Information Sharing
With "Our Voluntary Commitment to Social Responsibility" the E.ON Board of Management emphasizes E.ON’s commitment to the principles of the Global Compact. The commitment includes our pledge to combat child labor, forced labor and corruption as well as to support the development and introduction of environmentally friendly technologies.
E.ON is involved in the German network of the Global Compact and regularly takes part in meetings with business representatives and experts to discuss the issue of corporate responsibility.
Code of Conduct for Employees and Suppliers
Our own Code of Conduct is based on the principles of the Global Compact. It contains binding rules on matters such as business ethics, fighting corruption and respecting human rights. The Code of Conduct was revised in 2006 and applies across the entire E.ON Group.
We’re also committed to meeting the highest ethical standards in the competitive marketplace and in our relations with our suppliers. Along with fighting human rights violations and corruption, keeping the workplace fair and safe for our employees is one of our top priorities.
