Investors look for

Corporate Responsibility

E.ON is one of the world’s largest investor-owned power and gas companies. Each day, our almost 88,000 employees work to meet the energy needs of our 30 million customers. In 2007 we generated sales of EUR68.7 billion. As an industry leader committed to corporate responsibility (CR), we aim to be a responsible corporate citizen of the regions and communities where we operate.

CR is playing a greater role in financial markets. The number socially responsible investment funds is on the rise, as are the assets under their management. This group of investors, and an increasing number of mainstream investors, look for companies that create value sustainably and responsibly.

Sustainability indexes like the ASPI Eurozone® (Advanced Sustainable Performance Indices) and the Dow Jones Sustainability indexes (DJSI) are also attracting more attention. These indexes enable investors to track the financial performance of leading sustainability-driven companies.

E.ON has been included in the DJSI World and the DJSI STOXX for European companies since September 24, 2007. On top of that, we have been listed on the ASPI Eurozone® since September 6, 2007.
