It goes without saying that as an energy supplier we bear a large responsibility to both business and society. That is why our goal is not just to become the world’s leading power and gas company but also to take a leading role in social responsibility.

 

We aim to achieve this objective by implementing our own high standards. In 2006 we made a board commitment which defines our corporate responsibility. We have also been following the principles of the Global Compact since 2005. On top of that, we revised our Code of Conduct in 2007. The Code is a guideline for responsible behavior aimed at staff groupwide.

 

New guidelines have realigned operations in all areas of the company to better incorporate CR in the future. This includes guidelines for environmental and climate protection, responsible procurement, occupational safety and community involvement.
