The combination of EMR, PESAG, and Wesertal to form E.ON Westfalen Weser takes effect on October 1. Based in Paderborn, the new company supplies a range of utility services to its approximately 740,000 customers. E.ON Westfalen Weser, 63-percent owned by E.ON Energie of Munich, has nearly 1,800 employees and generated pro-forma revenues of 900 million euros in 2002.
