What are RSS Feeds?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication - in other words "the simplest way to send information". This involves a technology that lets you subscribe to specific content of a website. RSS automatically sends the newest published content to the subscriber's computer at regular intervals. In this way, the subscriber always has automatic and convenient access to the latest information.
What are the advantages of RSS Feeds?
E.ON RSS Feeds always keep the user absolutely up to date. You can view company news and important information from E.ON quickly and effectively. At the same time, RSS allows a detailed selection of the information you wish to receive, regular delivery and a reduction of download times and traffic.
How do I subscribe to RSS Feeds and what do I need to receive them?
In order to take advantage of RSS Feeds, you will need a reader program - typically called RSS Reader or Newsreader. You can download many RSS Readers as freeware. Just follow the instructions to install the reader of your choice. After installation on your computer, copy the link shown above to the RSS Reader. Firefox also supports RSS. If you have a personal desktop on Yahoo!, AOL or similar, you can simply add the RSS Feed by clicking on the appropriate toolbar symbol.
The program displays the latest content and information in the form of headlines and short text extracts. Updating intervals, e.g. daily, can be modified to meet your requirements.
If you would like to see a more detailed version of an article, just click on the title or the short text extract, the full text will then be displayed in your browser.
