In the early 90s Peter-Christian Ball did an internship at MEVAG, a predecessor to E.ON edis. At that time he was an electrical engineering student at the Technical University of Berlin. Once he completed his degree he began working for MEVAG in the network control station in Neuruppin.
In 1999 MEVAG merged with three other energy suppliers to form E.DIS Energie Nord AG and was consolidated with E.ON Group in 2000 as a subsidiary of PreussenElektra. One year later Ball became a technical director at what is today E.ON edis in Neustadt/Dosse where he was responsible for the power network in northwestern Brandenburg. In 2005 he took over the position of sales manager for the same region, shifting his focus from technology to the customer.
