E.ON named one ofEurope's Best Employers |
E.ON has again been voted one of Europe’s best 100 companies to work for. The largest private energy company in Europe, which came fourteenth in this year’s competition, received the prestigious award from the Great Place to Work® Institute Europe and the Financial Times at a ceremony in London in May 2008.
"This is an excellent result. It shows that we are in the "Champions League" of attractive employers in Europe", said Christoph Dänzer-Vanotti, Chief Human Resources Officer of E.ON AG. "Particularly in the energy industry it is becoming more and more important to attract the most qualified and talented employees. The quality of our workforce is what makes us competitive. This is why we are constantly honing our HR and management systems to remain an attractive employer for the best and brightest people in the energy industry."
Earlier, E.ON already received a special award in the german "Deutschlands Beste Arbeitgeber 2008" competition for its exemplary preventive healthcare programme. It was presented in February by the Great Place to Work Institute Deutschland and the business magazine Capital. In the overall ranking of the German employers, E.ON was among the Top 20 most popular employers.
