'Erfolgsfaktor Familie' Network

"By adhering to the principles of the 'Erfolgsfaktor Familie' network, we are promoting a balance between work and family life – one of the main focuses of our groupwide HR policy. Work-life-balance, meaning the balance between working and private life, plays a major part in our E.ON people strategy OneHR. Flexible conditions are part of a package of measures which applies for all employees. To ensure that work-life-balance is enjoyed groupwide, it is important that E.ON employees use the options available to them and that these options are promoted by management."
Christoph Dänzer-Vanotti, Chief HR Officer
By signing the ‘Erfolgsfaktor Familie general declaration’ on 1 April 2008, we have demonstrated our lasting commitment to family-conscious management. As Germany’s largest private energy provider and one of the country’s top employers, we aim to play a leading role in striking a work-life-balance. The aim of the ‘Erfolgfaktor Familie’ network is to highlight the commitment and experience of family-friendly companies in the public arena and motivate other companies to create a better work-life-balance.

Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Ursula von der Leyen, has identified E.ON and the other companies which signed the declaration as "trendsetters", bringing innovative and creative energy to family-friendly corporate policies which in turn helps encourage other companies to do the same. A range of options now exist, such as working from home, flextime and childcare, which represent a more modern, family-conscious HR policy.
