Diversity

Equal opportunities as a strategy

We want to provide a working environment that will drive the performance of all our employees and that will improve equal opportunities, regardless of an individual’s nationality, gender or personal background. What matters to us is an individual’s competence and commitment. In addition, we want to benefit from mixed teams and ensure a close match of employees and customers that will help us better understand our customers’ needs and increase customer satisfaction.

We will therefore create a culture at E.ON that will allow all our employees to reach their full potential and raise awareness of diversity as a competitive advantage. In 2008, we will start by screening and reviewing diversity capabilities within E.ON and collecting benchmark data. As a second step, we will identify key areas for improvement and communicate our initiative within E.ON, e.g. by organizing non-harassment training. Finally, we will develop a framework for achieving long-term goals, and we will start communicating the first results of our initiative this year.
