Organisational Change

On average, our employees have been with the company for 14 years. In 2007, employee turnover resulting from voluntary terminations amounted to approximately four percent in the group as a whole. At E.ON, personnel adjustment measures are rare. Even when they do occur, we are aware of our social responsibility. Socially acceptable solutions are developed in conjunction with unions and company managers.

Personnel Adjustments on a Voluntary Basis
In 2006 and 2007, it became necessary to adjust personnel levels to the requirements of a company managed under economically viable principles in Romania, irrespective of integration within E.ON Group. Pan-European Gas carried out these personnel adjustments on a voluntary and mutually agreed basis with the employees concerned. In each part of the company individual processes are agreed with the trade unions and senior management and socially acceptable solutions are developed.
Company Notice Periods often above the Legal Requirement
E.ON accepts its social responsibility for periods of notice, too. The minimum company notice periods are often above the legal requirement. Periods of notice are partly dependent on employment status (senior managers, tariff employees or non-tariff employees) and are ranked according to seniority.
