Headquartered in Madrid, E.ON Climate & Renewables Iberia has a large portfolio of projects in operation and under development that are strategically located in different regions of the Iberian Peninsula. With 516 MW of installed capacity, EC&R Iberia's main focus is on onshore wind parks in Spain and Portugal, but it also operates a CSP plant some mini-hydro and biomass plants.

In 2011, EC&R Iberia completed the two wind parks Hiperion II (50 MW) and Matabuey (16 MW) in the province of Castilla y Leon. In addition together with a local partner EC&R finished the construction of its first two 50 MW Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants in Ecija (Seville), Southern Spain, one of the best areas in Europe in terms of solar radiation.
