“Lifelong learning” - professional and personal

Environments that are continuously in a state of flux mean that now more than ever, employees must continue to develop their skills throughout their career. It’s for that reason that we invest continuously in our wide range of training opportunities.

Living personnel development

Lifelong learning is what we at E.ON aspire to; we continuously put this aspiration into action and fill it with life. A wide range of extra-occupational programs, seminars, courses and on-the-job training measures ensure that our staff remain on top of their game and that they can continue to expand their skills. We support our staff to proactively pursue their own training; we place value on regular feedback sessions and training measures that are agreed upon individually and that are organized according to each employee’s own requirements.

The increasingly international nature of the Group is an important strategic sphere of activity in the area of HR development. We offer opportunities for international project work all over the world as well as temporary and long-term assignments abroad. Different local and international rotation opportunities offer our staff the chance to get to know new ways of working and new cultures; this in turn enables them to develop their potential even further.

E.ON thus offers a variety of opportunities for staff to improve their own skills, enabling us to continue to decisively shape the energy market together in the future.

Intercultural training

The cultural diversity has increased considerably among our employees as we have changed more and more into an international energy services provider. We view this as a key for innovation and customer orientation in the global markets. To make use of this potential, we promote a climate of openness and mutual appreciation in the company as well as an understanding of different mentalities. We offer our staff appropriate intercultural training sessions before they are sent abroad for an assignment or before they take part in international projects.
