Industrial Electronics Technician
Industrial electronics technicians are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing existing electronic equipment in manufacturing factories or other industrial facilities.
Furthermore, they may install, replace or modernize facilities of building management systems, cable routing systems or energy lines, using tools such as voltmeters.
Industrial Electronics Technicians program and configure systems and safety devices and check their functionality.
Prior to the handover of the plant, they provide initial training for the clients on how to use and operate them.
System Mechanics produce constructions which are used for tank- and apparatus building, for process industry and for supply technology. They prepare their work based on technical drawings and work instructions. First of all they manufacture single parts either by hand or with the aid of CNC-machines. Then they assemble the single parts together to an assembly group.
System Mechanics install already existing assembly groups as apparatuses and constructions and check their functionality afterwards. Furthermore they hand over constructions to customers and instruct them in their operation. Additionally System Mechanics maintain and modify the constructions and extend their functionality.
In production and maintenance they make sure that machines and production facilities are ready for operation. Industrial Mechanics produce equipment, machine components and –groups and assemble them to machines and technical systems.
Subsequently they set them up, put them into operation and check their functions. Therefore they follow appropriate inspection methods. If necessary, Industrial Mechanics adjust already existing machines to the new business requirements. Part of their tasks are also the maintenance and repair of the facilities. If faults occur during machine operations, Industrial Mechanics identify the cause of the fault and undertake repair work. For this purpose they order suitable replacements or produce them themselves, disassemble the machine and reassemble the machine once the fault is eliminated. After completion of assembling and check-operations they introduce the future users or college to the operation and handling of the machines.
When working in the manufacturing of machines and precision appliances Industrial Mechanics produce especially components made of metal and plastic. They turn, mill, and grind the material or screw together the components and assemble as well as adjust them.
Electronic Technician Specialising in Energy and Building Service Engineering
They are specialists for electrical energy supply and other electro technical constructions in buildings. Electronic Technicians Specialising in Energy- and Building Service Engineering plan and install fuse links and connections for washing machines and stoves, lightning protection-, solar energy- and control systems.
Additionally they assemble building control systems and data networks or control and regulation systems for heating-, ventilation- and air-conditioning units. For this they generate control programs, define parameters, measure electrical quantities and test the systems. Electronic Technicians Specialising in Energy- and Building Service Engineering install receiver and communication systems as well as telecommunication networks. During maintenance works they check the electrical safety equipment, determine the causes of any faults and eliminate them.
If necessary they advise customers on technical innovations and inform them about the expected costs of modifications. They are electrical specialists in terms of accident prevention.
Electronic Technician for Automation Technology
They analyse functional correlations as well as process chains of automated systems and conceptualise modifications and extensions. Electronic Technicians for Automation Technology install and align electric, hydraulic or pneumatic drive systems. Moreover they install electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic drive systems. Doing that, they assemble, set up, program and align sensor-, operation- and bus systems as well as networks. Furthermore they combine the installed components to complex automation units and incorporate them into an overall system. After test runs they hand over the systems and introduce the future users to the operation.
Besides they handle and maintain automation systems. With the aid of test software and diagnostic systems they identify faults and analyse them. Electronic Technicians for Automation Technology are electrical experts in terms of accident prevention.
