In 2010 the E.ON Group's attributable generation capacity increased by 4 percent, from almost 66 GW at year-end 2009 to over 68 GW at year-end 2010. E.ON is one of the world's most geographically diversified power producers, with major asset positions in Germany, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Russia, the U.S., Italy, Spain, France and in the Benelux countries. In addition, we possess one of the most diverse and well-balanced generation portfolios in our sector. Of our total attributable generation capacity at year-end 2010, almost 28 GW was gas- and oil-fired, over 19 GW coal-fired, over 11 GW nuclear, almost 6 GW hydro and almost 5 GW wind and other renewables such as solar energy and bio energy.
