Proportion of Primary Energy Sourcesin Own Generation |
The E.ON Group's owend generation increased by 2 percent, from 270.0 billion kWh in 2009 to 275.5 billion kWh in 2010. The proportion of primary energy carriers in our generation is divided up as follows:
- 35 percent from natural gas
- 26 percent from nuclear energy
- 23 percent from coal
- 6 percent from hydroelectricity
- 5 percent from lignite
- 3 percent from wind energy
- 2 percent from others
In this way, E.ON has a well balanced customer generation at its disposal. Around 10 percent of our own generation comes from renewable energy sources. This proportion should continue to rise in the next years.
