Proportion of Primary Energy Sources in Own Generation

The E.ON Group’s owned generation declined by 3 percent, from 271.2 billion kWh in 2011 to 263.2 billion kWh in 2012. The proportion of primary energy carriers in our generation is divided up as follows:

  • 34 percent from natural gas
  • 26 percent from coal
  • 22 percent from nuclear energy
  • 7 percent from hydroelectricity
  • 6 percent from lignite
  • 4 percent from wind energy
  • 1 percent from others
