Proportion of Primary Energy Sources in Own Generation
The E.ON Group’s owned generation declined by 3 percent, from 271.2 billion kWh in 2011 to 263.2 billion kWh in 2012. The proportion of primary energy carriers in our generation is divided up as follows:
- 34 percent from natural gas
- 26 percent from coal
- 22 percent from nuclear energy
- 7 percent from hydroelectricity
- 6 percent from lignite
- 4 percent from wind energy
- 1 percent from others
